Job Description
Job Title: Quantum Hardware Engineer. Location: Copenhagen, Kongens Lyngby, Denmark
Job Type: Full-time, on-site (4 days per week in office)
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of room-temperature hardware and cryogenic systems including noise, instrumentation, and mechanical issues
- Support design, assembly, and debugging of new quantum hardware components
- Characterize and qualify hardware to meet system performance requirements
- Develop and maintain measurement and instrumentation code infrastructure;
- Conduct room temperature and cryogenic system performance testing
- Analyze, document, and communicate results of system characterization
- Improve and streamline measurement and analysis code in collaboration with teams
- Contribute to building scalable quantum computing systems, including topological quantum computing hardware
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in hardware characterization and system bring-up
- Experience programming in Python or similar high-level languages
- Experience working in version-controlled environments (Git)
- Understanding of electrical engineering design principles;
- Ability to meet security screening and export control requirements
- Ability to use AI tools for modeling, automation, and analysis
Preferred:
- Experience with RF/microwave systems including reflectometry and impedance matching
- Experience with cryogenic equipment such as dilution refrigerators or He3 cryostats
- Familiarity with low-noise electronic measurements and instrumentation
- Experience with superconducting or semiconductor quantum devices
- Experience in PCB design and hardware assembly;
- Experience in system verification, validation, and qualification workflows
- Strong documentation and technical communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-changing experimental environments
