Job Description

Job Title: Rigetti 2026 Internship Opportunities. Location: Berkeley, CA or Fremont, CA

This program provides exposure to both experimental and computational aspects of quantum computing in a collaborative and research-driven environment.

Duties:

• Participate in cross-functional teams to support projects in quantum hardware, cryogenic and control systems, quantum algorithms, and software development.
• Assist in experimental setups, laboratory work, or simulation tasks depending on the project area;
• Contribute to the development, testing, and optimization of quantum computing systems and tools.
• Learn to integrate quantum-classical infrastructure and support practical quantum computing applications.
• Work with engineers and scientists to gain experience in full-stack quantum computing workflows;
• Collaborate in a hybrid environment, contributing to both technical and operational aspects of projects.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• Demonstrated interest or coursework in quantum information science or advanced computing systems.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages;
• Hands-on laboratory or experimental experience.
• Strong communication, curiosity, and teamwork skills;
• Legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Benefits and Instructions:

• Hourly pay ranges from $35 to $50 depending on academic level, with housing stipend up to $2,000 for relocation.
