Job Description

Job Title: Research Scientist, Neutral Atoms, Quantum AI. Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement hardware for neutral atom quantum computers
• Develop architectures tailored for fault-tolerant quantum computing
• Conduct hardware studies to build accurate error models for quantum operations
• Translate theoretical concepts into experimental quantum systems;
• Collaborate with quantum error correction experts and research teams
• Publish and share research findings with the broader scientific community

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven research experience with publications in quantum-related fields;
• Knowledge of quantum computing and experimental physics
• Ability to collaborate with theorists and multidisciplinary teams

Preferred:

• Experience building neutral atom experiments
• Experience with optical and mechanical design software
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals;
• Experience initiating and leading research agendas

Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary range: $147,000 to $211,000 per year
