Job Description
Job Title: Research Scientist, Neutral Atoms, Quantum AI. Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement hardware for neutral atom quantum computers
- Develop architectures tailored for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Conduct hardware studies to build accurate error models for quantum operations
- Translate theoretical concepts into experimental quantum systems;
- Collaborate with quantum error correction experts and research teams
- Publish and share research findings with the broader scientific community
Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven research experience with publications in quantum-related fields;
- Knowledge of quantum computing and experimental physics
- Ability to collaborate with theorists and multidisciplinary teams
Preferred:
- Experience building neutral atom experiments
- Experience with optical and mechanical design software
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals;
- Experience initiating and leading research agendas
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary range: $147,000 to $211,000 per year
- Additional bonus, equity, and benefits;
