Senior Process Engineer - Quantum

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Process Engineer - Quantum. Location: Kongens Lyngby, Copenhagen, Denmark

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate quantum devices using UHV-based nanofabrication and deposition processes
• Drive process development and transition mature processes into production flow (POR)
• Monitor and improve fabrication processes with focus on quality, stability, and control
• Perform yield tracking, data analysis, and continuous improvement activities;
• Support root cause analysis and failure investigations in device fabrication
• Troubleshoot operational issues and support maintenance of UHV tools
• Work across teams to ensure process consistency and scalability

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Materials Science, Physics, or Engineering with relevant experience
• Strong hands-on experience in UHV nanofabrication environments
• Experience with superconducting or semiconductor materials processing;
• Experience with material characterization (structural, electrical, and interfacial analysis)
• Proven ownership of fabrication or deposition processes in industrial or R&D settings
• Ability to analyze data and apply data-driven decision making
• Strong English communication and teamwork skills
• Must meet Microsoft security and export control requirements, including citizenship verification

Preferred:

• Experience with superconducting device fabrication at scale
• Experience in process qualification and tool maintenance planning
• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and advanced deposition systems
• Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams;
• Exposure to AI tools for process optimization and automation in engineering workflows
