Job Description

Job Title: Senior Semiconductor Growth Expert. Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (4 days per week in office, up to 20% remote)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize semiconductor layer stacks for topological qubit applications
• Perform epitaxial growth of III/V semiconductors using Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE)
• Design and execute material improvement projects from hypothesis to validated results;
• Improve semiconductor material quality and performance through process optimization
• Collaborate with international, cross-disciplinary teams in a research and industrial environment
• Communicate technical results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Use AI frameworks to accelerate materials development and research workflows
• Maintain strong execution focus and prioritize high-impact research tasks

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field with hands-on semiconductor epitaxy experience
• Strong experience in material science and semiconductor growth processes
• Ability to communicate complex technical results clearly across teams;
• Strong problem-solving and results-driven mindset in research environments
• Must meet Microsoft security and background screening requirements

Preferred:

• PhD in Physics, Engineering, or related field
• Industrial experience in semiconductor research or fabrication
• Hands-on experience with III/V semiconductor systems, especially InAs-based materials
• Extensive MBE experience with process optimization and material improvement
• Experience in semiconductor device characterization (e.g., Hall bars)
• Interest or experience in using AI for scientific research and materials discovery
