Job Description
Job Title: Senior System Management Architect. Location: Israel: Tel Aviv, Raanana, or Yokneam
Responsibilities:
- Define and document production, provisioning, update, recovery, and reset flows for advanced SmartNIC cards.
- Align board-level architecture with platform-level requirements across NIC ASICs, BMCs, CPUs, and peripheral components.
- Specify security provisioning flows including OTP fusing, secure boot, attestation key injection, certificate chain management, RPMC key derivation, and Post-Quantum Cryptography requirements.
- Define IPN-to-OPN transition and component-locking procedures;
- Specify management protocols including MCTP, PLDM, SPDM, and NC-SI for secure boot, firmware updates, and telemetry.
- Define CPLD logic requirements, power-sequencing dependencies, and reset orchestration, including PCIe PERST#, SBR, and forced resets.
- Architect intra-board communication using PCIe, I2C/I3C, USB, and SPI.
- Ensure robust out-of-band and in-band management connectivity.
- Collaborate with Production, Hardware Engineering, Firmware Engineering, NIC firmware and driver teams, and QA.
- Create technical specifications, test plans, architectural documents, state-machine descriptions, and sequence diagrams.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to understand complex computing or networking systems from system level through device level.
- Background working with SmartNIC boards, chassis, or network tray architectures;
- Hands-on experience debugging or architecting systems involving BMCs such as OpenBMC, MCUs, CPUs, and complex networking ASICs.
- Strong knowledge of MCTP, PLDM, SPDM, and NC-SI;
- Deep familiarity with I2C, I3C, SPI, USB, and PCIe architecture, including link states and reset mechanisms.
- Exceptional ability to create clear technical specifications and system documentation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Preferred:
- Experience with Redfish API definitions and out-of-band network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with hardware root of trust, including HRoT/eROT concepts and secure boot architectures.
- Experience with PLDM firmware update bundle packaging and update agent implementation;
- Experience with production-line tooling, factory provisioning, and manufacturing test flows.
- Networking experience involving general networking principles, SmartNIC data-plane and offload operations, or high-speed data center topologies.
