System Engineer - R&D

Job Description

Job Title: System Engineer - R&D. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (hybrid flexibility mentioned)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage integration of advanced R&D technologies into next-generation quantum processors
• Develop and coordinate system-level integration test plans across cross-functional teams
• Lead definition and standardization of system engineering processes across the organization
• Build scalable and documented integration procedures for complex quantum hardware systems
• Investigate and resolve integration issues and technical anomalies;
• Ensure system performance aligns with engineering specifications and targets

Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience in system engineering for deep-tech or low-volume hardware systems
• Hands-on experience with systems operating in extreme environments such as cryogenics or aerospace
• Familiarity with superconducting technologies;
• Background in quantum physics, microwave/RF engineering, electrical engineering, or related field (PhD is a plus)
• Experience with electromagnetism, semiconductor or superconductor chips, or MEMS
