System Engineer - R&D

Job Description

Job Title: System Engineer - R&D. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (hybrid flexibility mentioned)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage integration of advanced R&D technologies into next-generation quantum processors
• Develop and coordinate system integration test plans across cross-functional teams
• Define and standardize system engineering processes across the organization;
• Build scalable and well-documented integration procedures for system expansion
• Investigate and resolve integration issues and technical anomalies
• Ensure system performance aligns with technical specifications and targets

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in system engineering for deep-tech or low-volume hardware systems
• Experience working with extreme environments such as cryogenics or aerospace-grade systems;
• Background in quantum physics, RF/microwave engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields
• Familiarity with superconducting technologies and semiconductor or MEMS systems
• Experience handling complex hardware integration and system-level validation

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with cryogenic or low-temperature systems
• Knowledge of electromagnetism and superconducting chip technologies;
• Experience in hardware-software co-integration in advanced systems
• Exposure to quantum hardware development environments
