Experimental Quantum Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Experimental Quantum Engineer. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain cryogenic measurement setups, including building, upgrading, and ensuring state-of-the-art performance
• Operate quantum hardware systems, including direct work with dilution refrigerators
• Develop and refine Python-based measurement routines for device characterization;
• Perform advanced measurements on quantum chips to evaluate performance of superconducting qubits and amplifiers
• Identify system abnormalities and work with fabrication and design teams to resolve issues
• Continuously improve measurement setups, software, and operational processes

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on quantum computing
• Hands-on programming experience, preferably in Python;
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to improve technical processes
• Ability to work with both hardware systems and software environments

Preferred:

• Experience with superconducting circuits and microwave measurement techniques
• Familiarity with quantum hardware testing and device characterization
