Lab and Cleanroom Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Lab and Cleanroom Manager. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily lab and cleanroom operations, including chemical inventory, waste management, and facility maintenance
• Coordinate industrial cleaning, utility services, and physical reconfiguration of lab spaces
• Implement and enforce cleanroom best practices to improve operational efficiency;
• Lead safety initiatives, including risk assessments (RI&E), audits, and regulatory compliance
• Support R&D teams by ensuring safe integration of new materials, tools, and processes
• Train and guide teams to build a strong safety culture across international staff
• Optimize lab space and infrastructure to support scaling of quantum hardware systems

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience managing labs or cleanrooms in an industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of machines, chemicals, and facility operations;
• Experience in procurement, waste management, and maintenance in high-tech environments
• Ability to manage and influence cross-functional technical teams
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Experience in semiconductor or similar advanced manufacturing environments
• Experience supporting research or engineering teams in fast-paced scale-ups;
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance frameworks
