Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Hardware Manager - 561. Location: Singapore

This position involves managing daily operations, ensuring high performance, and developing new capabilities of the system; You will oversee a team of scientists and engineers, coordinate with global teams, and help advance the local quantum computing ecosystem; The role combines technical leadership, team management, and individual contribution.

Duties:

• Lead a team of Ph.D.-level scientists and engineers to launch, maintain, and operate the Helios quantum computer.
• Manage day-to-day operations to meet or exceed customer requirements;
• Oversee technical development, testing, and upgrades of quantum hardware and systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support research, demonstrations, and ecosystem growth.
• Coordinate site visits, lab tours, and operational planning with cross-functional teams;
• Mentor, hire, and evaluate staff to ensure technical excellence and strong teamwork.
• Travel up to 25% domestically or internationally for project coordination and reviews.

Qualifications:

• M.S. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of post-graduate experience in quantum computing hardware, advanced R&D, or scientific research.
• At least 1 year of experience as a technical or people leader;
• Strong understanding of atomic physics systems or superconducting qubit platforms.
• Proven ability to manage complex programs, including scheduling and risk assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English;
• Demonstrated record of research, publications, or patents in engineering or physical sciences.
• Eligible candidates must not be nationals of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless they hold U.S. citizenship.
