Research Scientist

Job Description

Job Title: Research Scientist. Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Responsibilities:

• Lead frontier AI research across generative models, reinforcement learning, and agentic systems
• Design and develop novel machine learning algorithms and evaluation frameworks
• Build small-model optimized agent systems for reasoning, planning, and tool use;
• Develop synthetic data pipelines, training workflows, and evaluation systems
• Perform theoretical analysis including convergence, robustness, and generalization studies
• Design statistically rigorous experiments and benchmarks
• Translate research prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy AI solutions at scale;
• Publish research in top-tier conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR

Qualifications:

• PhD degree in AI, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• Strong background in reinforcement learning, deep learning, or generative AI
• Experience in mathematical modeling, proofs, and algorithm design
• Ability to design and run large-scale experiments and benchmarks;
• Experience publishing in top-tier AI conferences preferred
• Strong communication skills for technical and research audiences

Preferred:

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks and small-model optimization
• Experience in NLP, generative computing, or foundation models
• Strong experience in experimental research and statistical evaluation methods
• Familiarity with production-level AI system integration
• Experience working with hybrid research and engineering teams
