Job Description

Job title: Research Scientist, Quantum Computing and AI - New College Grad 2026. Location: Santa Clara, California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Train AI models for inference on quantum systems, hardware, and control
• Contribute to novel research advancing the state-of-the-art in quantum simulation, both approximate and exact
• Collaborate on the development of research prototypes for GPU-accelerated quantum tools
• Work at the cutting edge of advancing GPUs as research tools for quantum sciences;
• Publish and present original research at conferences and events
• Collaborate with external researchers and diverse internal product teams

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Math, or equivalent experience
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, PyTorch, JAX, and/or CUDA
• Publications related to AI for quantum science or accelerated quantum simulations
• Excellent self-motivation, high creativity, and a passion for research;
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a research team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

Preferred:

• Experience with GPU computing for quantum simulations
• Familiarity with hybrid quantum-classical algorithms

Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary range: 168,000 USD – 264,500 USD (based on location and experience)
• Eligibility for equity and company benefits
