Job Description
Job title: Research Scientist, Quantum Computing and AI - New College Grad 2026. Location: Santa Clara, California, USA
Responsibilities:
- Train AI models for inference on quantum systems, hardware, and control
- Contribute to novel research advancing the state-of-the-art in quantum simulation, both approximate and exact
- Collaborate on the development of research prototypes for GPU-accelerated quantum tools
- Work at the cutting edge of advancing GPUs as research tools for quantum sciences;
- Publish and present original research at conferences and events
- Collaborate with external researchers and diverse internal product teams
Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Math, or equivalent experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, PyTorch, JAX, and/or CUDA
- Publications related to AI for quantum science or accelerated quantum simulations
- Excellent self-motivation, high creativity, and a passion for research;
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a research team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Preferred:
- Experience with GPU computing for quantum simulations
- Familiarity with hybrid quantum-classical algorithms
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary range: 168,000 USD – 264,500 USD (based on location and experience)
