Job Description

Job Title: Semiconductor Equipment Engineer. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (hybrid flexibility possible)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead installation of advanced equipment including lithography, etching, deposition, and vacuum systems with OEM partners
  • Manage FAT/SAT processes and equipment qualification through IQ/OQ to ensure production readiness
  • Define and optimize preventive maintenance schedules, spare parts planning, and technical documentation
  • Perform corrective maintenance, including root-cause analysis and permanent fixes to minimize downtime
  • Support commissioning of a state-of-the-art cleanroom and nanofabrication facility;
  • Collaborate closely with Process Engineering to align equipment capability with production requirements
  • Translate process needs into technical equipment specifications with R&D, Procurement, and Engineering teams
  • Manage facility interfaces such as gas, vacuum, cryogenic, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, or debugging of advanced equipment
  • Experience working in semiconductor cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing environments
  • Strong background in high-vacuum systems or nanofabrication tools;
  • Familiarity with cryogenic or dilution refrigerator systems is a strong advantage
  • Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup environment
  • High ownership mindset with minimal supervision required

Preferred:

  • Experience with semiconductor fabrication tools and cleanroom operations
  • Exposure to quantum hardware infrastructure or cryogenic quantum systems;
  • Experience in cross-functional engineering coordination (process, R&D, facilities)
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with complex multi-system equipment
