Semiconductor Equipment Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Semiconductor Equipment Engineer. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Responsibilities:

• Lead installation of advanced equipment including planning, FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, and production readiness
• Perform preventive maintenance and optimize schedules, spare parts, and documentation
• Handle corrective maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term fixes;
• Support commissioning of cleanroom and nanofabrication facilities for quantum hardware scaling
• Collaborate closely with process engineering to align equipment capabilities with production needs
• Translate process requirements into equipment specifications and roadmap planning
• Manage facility interfaces including gas, vacuum, cryogenic, electrical, and cooling systems

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with advanced equipment installation and maintenance
• Experience in semiconductor cleanroom or nanofabrication environments
• Strong knowledge of high-vacuum systems and tool debugging
• Technical degree in instrumentation, physics, electrical engineering, or mechatronics
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced startup or high-pressure environments

Preferred:

• Experience with cryogenic systems or dilution refrigerators
• Experience working with semiconductor fabrication tools (lithography, etching, deposition)
• Familiarity with facility-level systems integration in cleanroom environments
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently
