Senior Manager, Information Security

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager, Information Security. Location: British Columbia, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and improve the organization’s information security program and define a strategic roadmap
• Align security priorities with business goals and risk tolerance
• Lead incident response operations, including coordination and post-incident reviews;
• Manage MDR/SOC providers and define alerting, escalation, and response workflows
• Establish and maintain security architecture standards across identity, endpoints, and monitoring
• Define and operate vulnerability management programs, including scanning and remediation tracking
• Implement identity and access governance, including MFA and privileged access controls
• Maintain risk register, reporting, and compliance with regulatory and partner requirements
• Develop and manage third-party/vendor risk processes;
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement scalable security controls
• Lead security awareness programs, training, and phishing simulations

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in information security, IT security, or related roles
• Proven experience building or leading security programs in mid-sized organizations
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Entra ID security;
• Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR) platforms
• Experience in incident response and forensic workflows
• Experience managing MDR/SOC providers
• Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams

Preferred:

• Experience in hybrid IT environments (cloud and on-premises)
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS
• Background in infrastructure, systems, or DevOps;
• Experience working with senior leadership teams
