Job Description
Job Title: Internship - IBM Z Network Security (m/w/d). Location: Ehningen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
You will gain hands-on experience with mission-critical infrastructure while working alongside experienced engineers in an international environment.
Duties:
- Assist in designing, implementing, and testing secure network solutions for IBM Z systems.
- Analyze existing network security protocols and architectures and suggest improvements.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools to support daily network security operations;
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related security and connectivity issues.
- Collaborate closely with team members across firmware, hardware control, and security teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program.
- Strong Linux knowledge with a focus on networking configuration and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of network security concepts such as firewalls, encryption, and authentication.
- Experience with Python or C++ programming;
- Knowledge of security protocols like TLS, IPsec, and VPNs.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
