Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect - Optimization – U.S. Government. Location: Remote, United States

You will partner closely with customers and internal teams to design, build, and deploy scalable quantum and hybrid applications that deliver measurable business value. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Duties:

• Design, build, and deploy customer applications on D-Wave quantum computers and internal platforms.
• Translate customer business problems into mathematical and optimization models.
• Map real-world use cases to D-Wave hybrid and quantum systems.
• Build, test, and validate prototypes, then support production deployment;
• Lead customer discussions, gather requirements, and propose effective technical solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with applications developers, delivery leads, and other solution architects.
• Share customer feedback with product and tools teams to guide roadmap priorities.
• Support a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field preferred.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory;
• 5+ years of professional experience using Python, with strong coding practices.
• Experience with mathematical modeling and optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience delivering customer-facing solutions, ideally in a consulting role.
• Familiarity with classical optimization tools such as CPLEX or Gurobi.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git;
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and in production environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Benefits and Instructions:

• Salary range: $124,000–$186,000 USD per year, depending on experience and role fit.
