Solutions Architect, AI and HPC

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect, AI and HPC. Location: Santa Clara, California, USA (Remote options available in multiple US states)

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with research universities and institutions to co-create innovative solutions using accelerated computing platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to align NVIDIA’s technical roadmap with the workflows of the scientific community
  • Engage with developers and researchers to architect solutions in computational physics, quantum computing, or molecular science;
  • Profile and optimize the performance of large-scale AI model training and inference to ensure applications achieve full potential on GPU-accelerated systems
  • Travel up to 20% to support clients and research partners

Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Physics, Computational Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in accelerated computing and parallel computing with GPUs
  • Experience porting and optimizing scientific applications for GPUs;
  • Strong programming and software design skills, especially in Python and C++
  • Deep understanding of AI theory and practice at scale
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with a dedication to supporting the academic research community

Preferred:

  • Advanced C/C++ programming, including debugging, profiling, and performance optimization
  • Experience supporting the academic research community in HPC or AI projects;
  • Familiarity with distributed computing platforms, containers, scheduling tools, and NVIDIA GPU libraries (CUDA, OpenMP, OpenACC, MPI, NCCL, UCX, NVSHMEM)
  • Curiosity and experience with distributed computing, orchestration, and complex infrastructure management

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Base salary range: $184,000 – $287,500 per year, depending on location and experience
