Technical Account Manager (Optimization)

Job Description

Job Title: Staff Technical Account Manager (Optimization). Location: Italy (Remote initially, transitioning to hybrid in Milan)

Responsibilities:

  • Present quantum computing solutions to customers and map them to real business problems
  • Translate optimization challenges into practical use cases for enterprise clients
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Deliver technical presentations at conferences, webinars, and industry events;
  • Support customer onboarding, rollout, and long-term adoption of quantum solutions
  • Maintain strong technical relationships across client organizations
  • Identify new opportunities for applying quantum optimization solutions
  • Act as a bridge between customers and internal product and engineering teams
  • Provide advisory-level technical support for optimization projects;
  • Support marketing and business development through events and webinars

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field
  • 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as TAM, Solutions Architect, or Sales Engineer
  • Strong foundation in optimization, operations research, or applied mathematics
  • Experience with enterprise problem-solving in client environments;
  • 2+ years of Python programming experience in enterprise settings
  • Experience working with APIs, GitHub, or similar development tools
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience in logistics, scheduling, resource allocation, or similar optimization domains
  • Familiarity with operations research tools and methods
  • Experience in enterprise sectors such as manufacturing, pharma, fintech, or research
  • Exposure to project management practices;
  • Quantum computing experience (not required but beneficial)
  • AI or LLM experience (optional advantage)
