Manager IT Audit and Compliance

Job Description

Job Title: Manager IT Audit and Compliance. Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual internal audit plans and conduct internal audits as assigned.
• Develop and maintain process narratives, flowcharts, and risk-control matrices for financial, IT, and entity-level processes.
• Document, evaluate, and test internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure SOX compliance.
• Perform walkthroughs and operating effectiveness testing as part of the annual SOX testing plan;
• Identify control deficiencies, determine root causes, and support timely remediation with process owners.
• Collaborate with finance teams, internal and external auditors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth audit execution.
• Assess internal control environments and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and training on internal controls over financial reporting.
• Provide advisory services related to risk management, internal controls, and business and IT operations.
• Perform investigations and other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CISA certification.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of management experience performing IT audit and compliance duties in a public company.

Preferred:

• CPA designation.
• CISSP certification.
• Master's degree.
• Experience in the technology industry.
