Job Title: Government Affairs Director. Location: Denmark (Multiple Locations)
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze policy, regulatory, geopolitical, and market developments across Denmark, Iceland, and Europe.
- Develop and support Microsoft's country-level policy agenda aligned with regional and global priorities.
- Identify emerging issues related to AI, cloud, cybersecurity, quantum computing, energy, and datacenters.
- Prepare policy briefings, strategic reports, and recommendations for leadership.
- Translate policy developments into practical guidance for business and engineering teams;
- Support the development of balanced policy positions that encourage innovation and address societal needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with government institutions, regulators, business associations, think tanks, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Represent Microsoft at meetings, conferences, and public forums.
- Support public sector digital transformation initiatives and cloud adoption.
- Collaborate on digital skilling, cybersecurity, and responsible technology partnerships.
- Work with communications teams to support media positioning and stakeholder awareness.
- Collaborate with teams across Corporate, External & Legal Affairs, Public Sector, Engineering, Security, and European Government Affairs.
- Lead or support cross-functional initiatives across Nordic and Baltic regions while ensuring consistent policy messaging.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Law, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in government affairs, public policy, corporate affairs, government, or similar organizations.
- Experience building strategic relationships to influence technology or public policy priorities;
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with government officials or policy stakeholders in Denmark or the Nordic region.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI governance, data protection, and technology policy.
- Ability to develop long-term advocacy and policy strategies.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced and complex environments.
Benefits And Compensation:
- Annual salary of DKK 788,300 to DKK 1,301,000.
- Eligible for Microsoft benefits and additional compensation where applicable.

Other Information:
- Hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in the office.
- Less than 25% travel required.
