Job Description

Job Title: Hardware Technician - Quantum Computing. Location: Singapore

The role also supports remote operation of cloud-based H-series systems as part of a global team; You will work with advanced tools such as ultra-high vacuum systems, cryogenic equipment, lasers, atom trapping systems, and control electronics.

Duties:

• Launch, operate, and maintain an H-series quantum computer as part of a small technical team.
• Support system development plans and daily operational tasks;
• Carry out subsystem inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Remotely operate cloud-based quantum computers used by global customers.
• Follow technical documentation, safety standards, and operation procedures;
• Coordinate with other team members to support system stability and uptime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in an R&D environment, including M.S. or Ph.D. experience.
• Able to read, write, and communicate technical topics in English.
• Able to travel internationally for training and project needs;
• Must not be a national of the PRC or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen, due to U.S. national security requirements.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Two or more years of experience with atomic physics systems, superconducting qubits, lasers, laser cooling, atom trapping, cryogenics, ultra-high vacuum systems, analog and digital electronics, laboratory control systems, and Python.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and teamwork skills;
• Experience supporting complex hardware in research or commercial environments.
