Job Description
Job Title: Senior Manager, Government Relations (Europe). Location: Europe (Remote with travel across EU, UK: Brussels, Dublin, London)
Job Type: Full-time, remote with regional travel
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute government relations and public policy strategies aligned with business goals
- Advocate for policies supporting quantum computing, research funding, and innovation across Europe and the UK
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry groups, NGOs, and think tanks
- Monitor and analyze regulatory and legislative developments affecting quantum and emerging technologies
- Provide policy guidance to senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and emerging trends;
- Partner with legal, business, and strategy teams to align policy with company objectives
- Support economic development initiatives and trade policy engagement
- Translate complex quantum and AI policy issues for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working with the European Commission on technology policy
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong understanding of European government systems, policy development, and trade frameworks
- Experience in strategic planning, policy analysis, and multi-level advocacy;
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, remote, cross-functional environments
- Strong analytical ability to simplify complex technical topics
Preferred:
- Experience with UK Parliament technology policy work
- Background in quantum computing, AI/ML, or high-performance computing
- Experience in public policy within a publicly traded technology company;
- Familiarity with trade agreements and regulatory committees in Europe
- Multilingual ability (German or Italian preferred in addition to English)
