Manager, Supply Chain

Job Description

Job Title: Manager, Supply Chain. Location: Burnaby, BC, Canada

You will work closely with engineering, production, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient hardware production in a fast-moving & collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Own and manage end-to-end supply chain activities including procurement, sourcing, planning, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance;
  • Lead, mentor, and support supply chain staff across buying, material planning, and shipping and receiving functions.
  • Drive strategic initiatives such as supplier risk management, long-term sourcing strategies, capacity planning, and supplier qualification.
  • Build strong partnerships with vendors and manage supplier management through performance KPIs and corrective actions.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers, fabricators, and logistics partners;
  • Partner with Legal on contract reviews and NDA management.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure purchasing and accounting policy compliance.
  • Support domestic and international logistics, including import and export documentation and broker onboarding.
  • Implement inventory optimization and reduction strategies, including annual physical inventory counts.
  • Lead ERP and MRP system enhancements and support new feature rollouts;
  • Perform project cost analysis and lead mitigation plans for long-lead and high-risk components.
  • Work with Engineering and Project teams to develop demand forecasts and material requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, ERP systems, and multi-level bill of materials structures.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex technical environment;
  • Familiarity with international import and export regulations and EHS material handling requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience facilitating technical discussions between engineering teams and suppliers.

  • Base salary range: $92,000–$138,000 per year (Burnaby), with additional equity, bonus, and benefits.
