Staff Engagement Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Staff Engagement Manager (UK & Ireland). Location: United Kingdom (Remote)

You will act as the main link between customers, partners, and internal teams while supporting sales, delivery, and long-term adoption of D-Wave’s technology.

Duties:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers by understanding their business goals and aligning them with quantum optimization use cases.
  • Lead customer engagements from project kickoff through delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, and budgets are met.
  • Develop financial business cases that clearly explain the value of quantum optimization solutions;
  • Serve as the main communication bridge between clients and internal teams, managing expectations and resolving issues early.
  • Coordinate executive reviews and regular status updates with customer and D-Wave leadership.
  • Work closely with sales, product, and delivery teams to support proposals, statements of work, and presales scoping.
  • Translate customer needs into clear requirements for internal product and services teams.
  • Monitor risks, track progress, and take corrective action to ensure successful outcomes;
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including lessons learned and handover to technical account managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Agile or Scrum certification, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience leading or consulting on large-scale software or technology projects.
  • Strong ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects at the same time and meeting deadlines;
  • Strong leadership skills with experience guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sales presentations and executive briefings.
  • Ability to quickly learn new industries and apply technology solutions to real business problems.

Benefits and Instructions:

  • Salary range: £68,000–£102,000 per year, depending on experience and role fit.
