Technical Program Manager - Quantum

Job Description

Job Title: Principal Technical Program Manager - Quantum. Location: Copenhagen, Capital Region, Denmark

Job Type: Full-time, hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Microsoft’s primary contact for strategic partnership collaboration with QuNorth
  • Lead executive alignment sessions, joint planning cycles, and partnership reviews
  • Identify operational and technical blockers and coordinate resolution across teams;
  • Build and expand Microsoft’s quantum ecosystem presence across Denmark and the Nordic region
  • Collaborate with government organizations, research institutions, and funding bodies
  • Develop relationships with Nordic universities and research centers including DTU, Niels Bohr Institute, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Aalto University, and Chalmers University of Technology
  • Identify and grow partnerships with quantum startups and regional technology companies
  • Translate partner technical challenges into actionable requests for engineering teams;
  • Coordinate with Microsoft quantum labs and engineering teams across Denmark, Prague, and Redmond
  • Track technical issue resolution and communicate progress to leadership teams
  • Represent Microsoft Quantum at industry conferences, government discussions, and academic forums
  • Provide insights on Nordic market trends, funding developments, and quantum technology strategy

Qualifications:

  • Experience in partner management, ecosystem development, or business development within deep technology industries
  • Strong understanding of quantum computing, photonics, semiconductor physics, or related technical domains
  • Experience working with international engineering and product teams across multiple countries and time zones
  • Proven ability to build and scale new strategic programs or partnerships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Ability to pass Microsoft security and export control screening requirements
  • Experience using AI productivity and development tools to improve operational efficiency

Preferred:

  • Experience within the Nordic research or technology ecosystem
  • Experience working with national labs, quantum startups, or public-private innovation programs
  • Familiarity with Azure, AI services, and enterprise cloud technologies;
  • Background in technical program management, product management, or technical business development
  • Ability to work independently in fast-changing and ambiguous environments
  • Scandinavian language skills are preferred

Other Information:

  • Travel requirement between 25% and 50%
