Demand Planner II, Production

Job Description

Job Title: Demand Planner II, Production. Location: Burnaby, Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term demand forecasts by product family, customer, project, and service requirements.
  • Consolidate planning inputs from Production, Program Management, Engineering, Lab Operations, Service, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Document forecast assumptions, constraints, risks, and dependencies.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and support continuous improvement of forecasting methods.
  • Maintain production demand forecasts, including volume, timing, priorities, and execution requirements.
  • Align production demand with manufacturing capacity and operational constraints;
  • Identify and escalate bottlenecks, capacity risks, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Support scenario planning and analysis for operational reviews and planning decisions.
  • Track the impact of demand changes on production schedules, engineering updates, inventory, and customer commitments.
  • Establish demand prioritization based on customer commitments, revenue impact, strategic objectives, and operational requirements.
  • Prepare reports and analysis to support planning discussions and decision-making.
  • Maintain demand planning data in NetSuite ERP and related planning tools.
  • Ensure planning data accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Develop planning dashboards, KPI reports, and improve planning processes and data quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, demand planning, supply chain analytics, or a related role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, technology, or engineered-products environments.
  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operations is preferred;
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across Production, Engineering, Finance, Service, and Supply Chain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems. NetSuite experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with forecasting tools, MRP systems, and demand planning methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Results-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Benefits And Compensation:

  • Annual salary of CAD $79,000 to CAD $108,000.
