Product Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Product Manager. Location: Geneva, Switzerland

• Hybrid, with the option to work remotely two days per week
• Travel: Up to 10%

Responsibilities:

• Own product operations and ensure features are clearly defined, tracked, and delivered throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage feature delivery from validated requirements through development, industrialisation, commercialisation, and ongoing documentation.
• Translate market and customer insights into product features for engineering teams.
• Act as the day-to-day product decision-maker within defined boundaries.
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Industrialisation, Production, Marketing, and Sales;
• Coordinate special customer projects, including triage, planning, feasibility assessment, and configuration decisions.
• Maintain product data integrity and an accurate, prioritised Jira backlog.
• Coordinate engineering handovers, validate feature delivery, and remove cross-functional blockers.
• Manage non-standard sales opportunities and document product exceptions with full traceability from customer request to delivered capability.
• Prepare products for commercial launches through documentation, training, pricing, and sales enablement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation;
• Communicate complex photonic, cryogenic, and networking architectures to technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Respond to product enquiries from Sales.
• Provide pre-sales support, participate in technical discussions, and represent products at trade shows.
• Support the Product team as the portfolio expands.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Microengineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to make product decisions autonomously within defined boundaries.
• Strong technical, commercial, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to understand and reason about complex hardware products involving photonics, cryogenics, and networking.
• Experience representing products in pre-sales meetings, technical discussions, and trade shows.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills;
• Advanced Jira proficiency, including workflow configuration, automation rules, and custom field management.
• Understanding of manufacturing environments, industrialisation constraints, production requirements, and supply chain considerations.
• Ability to resolve conflicting priorities and make decisions in uncertain environments.
• Genuine curiosity and willingness to develop deep expertise in quantum and other deep-tech technologies.
