Job Description
Job Title: Senior HPC Dev Ops Engineer. Location: Westford, MA, USA
You will collaborate with quantum engineering teams to enable high-performance simulations and optimize hybrid computational environments.
Duties:
- Build and operate a hybrid compute environment combining HPC and quantum systems.
- Lead Linux provisioning, configuration management, and system tuning across hundreds of GPU nodes.
- Manage Slurm job scheduling, defining policies, handling QoS, and tuning workloads for efficiency.
- Coordinate data center operations including power, cooling, and network management;
- Implement container orchestration (Singularity, Docker, Kubernetes) for HPC and quantum workloads.
- Maintain storage environments including Lustre, NFS, and cloud storage.
- Support quantum engineering teams with integration of control nodes, orchestration gateways, and data exchange.
- Optimize performance for CUDA, MPI, and CUDA-Q applications;
- Develop automation workflows using Ansible, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Serve as primary system administrator for GB200 GPU infrastructure, supporting researchers and developers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in HPC systems engineering or administration in Linux-based GPU environments;
- Expertise in Slurm, Linux systems administration, and configuration management tools (Ansible or Base Command).
- Knowledge of NVIDIA GPU technologies, InfiniBand, RDMA, and high-speed networking.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Singularity, Docker, or Kubernetes;
- Familiarity with quantum computing systems (neutral-atom, trapped-ion, or superconducting) is preferred.
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++, or Shell Scripting for automation and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of CUDA, MPI, and parallel programming paradigms.
