Senior Technical Project Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Technical Project Engineer. Location: Brooklyn Park, MN, USA

You will act as the main link between suppliers, engineers, and leadership to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and technical progress in a fast-moving quantum technology environment.

Duties:

  • Serve as project manager and main supplier contact for trap fabrication and other quantum hardware projects.
  • Build and manage detailed schedules, milestones, risks, budgets, and deliverables for multi-stage R and D programs.
  • Hold internal teams and external suppliers accountable for technical and delivery commitments.
  • Lead regular status updates, reviews, and project meetings;
  • Communicate project scope, risks, progress, and changes across technical, product, and leadership teams.
  • Escalate schedule or technical risks quickly to reduce impact.
  • Track execution of annual plans with program management, materials, technical, and finance teams.
  • Forecast invoices, payments, and development costs with global finance teams.
  • Support new project planning by gathering requirements and drafting statements of work.
  • Follow and enforce program management best practices and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 3 years of experience in milestone-driven technical program management.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States as a U.S. Person.
  • Ability to meet U.S. government national security requirements.
  • PMP certification is preferred;
  • Working knowledge of wafer fabrication methods for integrated circuits, sensors, or MEMS devices.
  • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, including budget and risk control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate challenges.
  • Experience working with remote or international teams is a plus.
