Systems Test Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Systems Test Engineer. Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Responsibilities:

• Create and contribute to test plans and test strategies by developing new test cases based on product requirements
• Set up and configure servers and related infrastructure to match customer environments and report issues
• Develop and maintain automated test cases for CLI, REST APIs, and UI features
• Execute continuous testing as part of the CI/CD process;
• Run load and stress tests, analyze system dependencies, and perform defect triaging
• Verify defect fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure product quality
• Collaborate with development and system test teams to improve product quality, usability, and serviceability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 2 to 4 years of experience in server virtualization testing and system-level product testing
• Experience with product integration testing, defect characterization, and creating test plans and test cases
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies including PowerVM and VMware;
• Experience with storage and networking technologies
• Proficiency in Python, CLI, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Cypress for UI automation

Preferred:

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience with server architecture, hypervisors, storage technologies (SAN, NAS, NVMe, SAS, SATA), and networking (FC, FCoE, iSCSI, TCP/IP)
• Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE, or ESXi operating systems
• Experience with automation using Python or Perl and Cypress;
• Familiarity with GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins
• Understanding of DevOps practices and vulnerability scanning tools
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
