Job Description

Job Title: Vice President, Facilities. Location: Fremont, California, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute long-term facilities strategy aligned with quantum hardware scaling and business growth
  • Oversee mission-critical facility operations ensuring reliability, safety, and operational excellence
  • Lead capital projects across multiple sites with budgets ranging from millions to hundreds of millions
  • Manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers including negotiation and performance evaluation
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, security, and regulatory requirements;
  • Identify and mitigate operational and infrastructure risks across global facilities portfolio
  • Partner with executive leadership and technical teams to align infrastructure with company goals
  • Build and lead a high-impact facilities organization and operational framework;
  • Develop scalable systems, playbooks, and standards for multi-site expansion

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience in facilities, infrastructure, or complex technical operations
  • Experience in environments such as semiconductor fabs, data centers, or high-precision laboratories
  • Strong ability to manage large-scale capital programs and multi-site operations
  • Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments
  • Strong vendor management and strategic planning capabilities
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-complexity organizations

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with quantum hardware environments including dilution refrigerators and vibration-sensitive systems
  • Experience with international facilities operations and regulatory environments
  • Ability to work both strategically and hands-on in evolving organizations;
  • Strong judgment in balancing cost, risk, and operational priorities in technical infrastructure
