Job Title: Werkstudent*in Software Developer for AI Challenge (f/m/x). Location: Ehningen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
This position combines academic learning with hands-on experience in software engineering, AI, and cloud computing; You will work in an international and collaborative environment, gain valuable real-world experience, and have the chance to start your career with IBM after graduation.
Duties:
- Co-develop a proof-of-concept AI solution aligned with IBM Z Firmware Delivery goals.
- Take part in idea generation, system design, and implementation stages.
- Work in a small, agile team with mentorship from IBM software engineers;
- Participate in agile processes including stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews.
- Present project outcomes and insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a university program in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in AI, data science, automation, and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in Python or Java programming, Git, and REST APIs;
- Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Fluent in both German and English.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and cloud platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes preferred.
- Basic understanding of LLMs or agentic AI is an advantage;
- Knowledge of CI/CD software delivery pipelines is helpful.
