Customer Success Director

Job Description

Job Title: Customer Success Director, South Korea. Location: Daejeon, South Korea

Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (3 days per week on-site)

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the post-sales site lead for South Korea, owning overall contract health and customer relationship after deal close
  • Drive post-sales program management across workstreams such as system build, data center readiness, networking, and platform support
  • Translate the signed contract and verbal commitments into a clear execution plan with defined milestones and risk tracking;
  • Ensure strong adoption and usage of IonQ Quantum Cloud, onboarding users and monitoring consumption trends
  • Lead monthly reporting to internal and customer stakeholders on adoption, satisfaction, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Align cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and operations to meet customer expectations
  • Remove blockers to adoption and ensure customers realize measurable value from the platform;
  • Act as a regional translator between highly technical Korean stakeholders and internal global teams
  • Build and maintain structured success plans, stakeholder maps, QBR cadence, and repeatable delivery playbooks
  • Translate customer feedback into clear internal requirements and follow through on updates and prioritization

Qualifications:

  • Fluent Korean and ability to be based in South Korea with a hybrid on-site schedule
  • Proven leadership of complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple dependent workstreams
  • Strong experience in managing post-sales delivery in a highly technical environment
  • Ability to manage contracts carefully and prevent misalignment between delivery and agreement;
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing adoption, improving retention, or reducing time-to-value in a technical platform environment
  • Experience working with government, research, or large enterprise institutions in Korea
  • Comfort working with quantum or HPC-adjacent stakeholders
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Physics or a related STEM field
  • Experience working with quantum computing systems or advanced computing platforms
  • Familiarity with trapped-ion technology, quantum cloud platforms, contract execution discipline, and cross-functional technical program management
