Job Description

Job Title: 2026 Data Scientist Internship , Amazon University Talent Acquisition. Location: Multiple locations across EMEA (Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, and the UK)

This program provides a hands-on opportunity to develop & deploy data-driven models that solve real-world problems at scale. Interns will collaborate with leading scientists & engineers to design innovative solutions that can impact millions of Amazon customers worldwide.

Duties:

• Collaborate with Amazon scientists and engineers to design and implement algorithms that address large-scale business challenges.
• Build and deploy machine learning models using large datasets and Amazon cloud infrastructure;
• Conduct interdisciplinary research focused on improving customer experience and satisfaction.
• Present research results and project updates through technical papers and presentations;
• Define performance metrics and create models to measure customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Work within teams aligned with personal research interests and experience.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken;
• Experience with Python, SQL, R, or similar data scripting languages;
• Knowledge of machine learning or optimization techniques such as LP, MIP, or combinatorial optimization.
• Experience handling large datasets and implementing algorithms using existing toolkits or self-developed code.
• Background in quantum or AI-related research is a plus.
