Job Description

Job Title: Engineering Program Management Lead. Job Location: Broomfield, CO, USA

The Engineering Program Management Lead will manage multiple quantum hardware initiatives and align efforts across technical, operational, and business units; The individual will lead team meetings, track progress, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities to accelerate delivery or develop new technologies.

Duties:

  • Lead the creation and management of detailed schedules, budgets, resource needs, and technical work plans.
  • Organize and coordinate activities between multiple technical and operational teams;
  • Conduct regular status meetings, project reviews, and retrospectives to maintain program health;
  • Communicate updates, risks, and strategy changes through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve delivery speed or technology readiness.
  • Travel up to 25% as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical program management.
  • Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder) due to contractual and national security requirements.
  • Candidates cannot be nationals of China or Russia unless they are also U.S. citizens.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Background in quantum computing, optics, or photonics.
  • PMP certification.
  • Strong experience managing full life cycles of complex technology projects.
  • Proven ability to handle first-of-its-kind, early-stage technology programs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Skilled in resource planning, risk analysis, and proactive problem solving.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams;
  • Strong understanding of risk and opportunity management in program planning.

Compensation and benefits:

Annual salary range: $143,000–$183,000, including bonus eligibility; Actual pay will depend on experience, education, and qualifications.
