Job Description

Job Title: Entry Level Hardware Developer. Location: Poughkeepsie, NY; Rochester, MN; Hopewell Junction, NY; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; North Carolina, USA

This role is ideal for early-career engineers who want hands-on experience working on cutting-edge hardware, firmware, and system validation while learning from experienced engineering teams in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Support the design, development, testing, and validation of hardware, firmware, and semiconductor components.
  • Assist with design-for-test, verification, and failure analysis activities.
  • Work on signal integrity, power integrity, thermal analysis, and system reliability testing.
  • Contribute to printed circuit board layout, voltage regulation, and power delivery design;
  • Participate in processor, component, and system-level characterization and performance modeling.
  • Support firmware development, debugging, and quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with field and customer engineering teams to resolve hardware issues.
  • Learn and apply industry tools, workflows, and best practices across hardware development stages.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
  • Prior project, academic, or internship experience in computer hardware or system testing.
  • Basic understanding of hardware architectures such as FPGAs, RISC-V, ARM, or quantum systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or C++.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for technology and engineering.
