Job Description

Job Title: Manager, Strategy and Central Business Operations. Location: Palo Alto, CA, USA

This position provides exposure to deep tech, quantum computing, and operational excellence within a fast-growing startup environment.

Duties:

  • Support development of company strategy with CEO, founders, and executives, including defining priorities and resource allocation.
  • Partner with functional leaders to frame and answer strategic questions and resolve organizational challenges;
  • Enable executive alignment and clarity on company goals, supporting leadership offsites and strategic planning sessions.
  • Provide analytical and operational support to senior leaders to enable data-driven decision-making;
  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives spanning Sales, Marketing, Product, and corporate programs.
  • Identify inefficiencies and proactively resolve organizational blockers.
  • Maintain and improve operating cadences such as KPI reviews and quarterly planning.
  • Build dashboards, templates, and systems to enhance visibility and streamline information flow across teams.
  • Support coordination across People, Finance, and other functional areas to enhance organizational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a similar strategic operations role at a top-tier firm.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven experience supporting high-impact projects in fast-paced and ambiguous environments;
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to craft clear and concise materials and engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, innovation, or deep tech sectors; prior exposure to quantum computing, semiconductors, or computational science is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or quantitative field; advanced degree preferred but not required.

Benefits and Instructions:

  • Base salary range: $140,000–$165,000 USD; Bay Area range: $165,000–$185,000 USD, plus equity and benefits.
