Job Title: Production Team Leader. Location: Bromont, Quebec, Canada
IBM Infrastructure in Bromont, Quebec is hiring a Chef d’équipe de production (Production Team Leader) to manage a team responsible for producing and testing advanced microelectronic components; that support IBM’s Power, Z, and Quantum Control technologies.
This position is ideal for a technically skilled leader who values precision, teamwork, and innovation in a fast-evolving manufacturing environment.
Duties:
- Plan, organize, and manage production resources to meet scheduled targets for assigned cells and shifts.
- Supervise and guide operators in handling assembly and testing equipment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Support operator skill development by identifying training needs and ensuring flexibility across production teams;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth production flow and troubleshoot issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and SGQ tools to enhance productivity and workflow;
- Monitor key metrics such as OEE, logistics, and yield performance while ensuring workplace safety and cleanliness.
- Conduct safety audits (SST) and 5S inspections during shifts to maintain compliance and a clean environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Secondary 5).
- One or more years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting;
- Proficient in using computers, tablets, and related systems for production operations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience in team collaboration and conflict resolution.
- College diploma in Production Supervision or related discipline preferred;
- Eligibility under Canada’s Controlled Goods Program and compliance with ITAR requirements (must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident).
