Job Title: Quantum Algorithm Developer. Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
Job Type: Full-time, hybrid (fixed-term professional role)
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of novel and efficient quantum algorithms for practical and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Analyze and characterize quantum speedups using computational complexity theory
- Compare quantum approaches against classical state-of-the-art methods;
- Collaborate with compiler, error correction, and hardware teams to optimize algorithms
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences
- Contribute to academic collaborations and research direction in quantum algorithms
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong research experience in quantum algorithm design and analysis
- Background in quantum information theory, linear algebra, and computational complexity
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language;
- Proven ability to conduct independent theoretical research
Preferred:
- Experience mentoring students or junior researchers
- Leadership experience in research projects
- Strong publication record in top journals or conferences;
- Experience serving on program committees or as peer reviewer
- Postdoctoral experience or advanced specialization in quantum algorithms or complexity theory
Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range: $102,000 – $240,000 per year
