Senior Quantum Field Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantum Field Engineer. Location: Madrid, Spain

Responsibilities:

• Explain quantum strategy, portfolio, and applications to prospective clients in a clear and engaging way
• Lead technical discussions and help customers identify real-world quantum use cases
• Translate business requirements into quantum algorithms and application-level solutions
• Build and execute proof-of-concepts with application teams;
• Collect and communicate client feedback to product and engineering teams
• Handle competitive objections and support solution positioning
• Develop technical assets to explain quantum applications and products
• Move clients from ideation to proof-of-concept and production workflows
• Lead discovery sessions to identify quantum opportunities across industries
• Partner with marketing, developer relations, and business development teams;
• Attend industry events and conferences for customer engagement and representation
• Support technical demos and customer-facing presentations

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in technical customer-facing or engineering roles
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, or related STEM field
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex quantum concepts clearly
• Strong interest in quantum computing and applied technologies;
• Experience working in cross-functional technical and business environments

Preferred:

• Master’s or PhD in a STEM field related to quantum computing
• Experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar SDKs;
• Strong Python and Jupyter Notebook experience
• Experience in technical sales, solution architecture, or customer engineering roles
• Experience leading technical workshops, demos, or industry events
• Strong full-stack or system-level architecture understanding
