Job Title: Software Infrastructure & Platform Engineer. Location: Ontario, Canada; Palo Alto, California, United States

The role focuses on building infrastructure, automating workflows, and ensuring reliability across hybrid classical-quantum systems.

Duties:

• Design and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CDK, and Pulumi to provision AWS services like EKS, RDS, VPC, ensuring multi-account networking and cross-environment consistency.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/GitHub Actions, integrating security checks and implementing parallelized deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to debug deployments, validate system health, and enforce infrastructure reliability;
• Deploy monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure performance and uptime;
• Enforce security and compliance standards, embedding authentication, authorization, and encryption controls into infrastructure design.
• Document infrastructure, create runbooks for disaster recovery and scaling, and iterate on existing processes to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering with AWS expertise (EKS, IAM, VPC, S3) and multi-account networking.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Pulumi/AWS CDK;
• Strong understanding of containerization and microservices with Docker and ECS/EKS, including serverless deployments;
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and multi-environment governance using IaC, feature flags, and environment-specific configurations.
• Preferred: experience with Python or Bash scripting for automation and exposure to quantum SDKs like Qiskit or hybrid quantum-classical workflows.
