Job Description
Job Title: Intern, Quantum Solutions (PDEs). Location: Daresbury, England, United Kingdom; Remote (preferred Berlin, Germany)
The intern will contribute to advancing practical applications of large-scale quantum computers, supporting research in PDE and ODE problem-solving with photonic quantum systems.
Duties:
- Collaborate with experts on fault-tolerant quantum computing for PDE solutions.
- Assist in developing algorithms and methods for large-scale, error-corrected quantum computation.
- Support research on numerical solutions of linear systems, PDEs, and ODEs;
- Apply creative and analytical problem-solving skills to advance quantum computing applications.
- Contribute to practical implementation of quantum algorithms tailored to industrial applications.
Qualifications:
- Completed or currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in applied mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience with numerical solution of linear systems, PDEs, and ODEs;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Interest in the intersection of quantum computing, mathematics, and industrial applications.
- Knowledge of quantum computing and algorithms is a plus;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
