Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantum Algorithm Researcher. Location: Tokyo, Japan

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical collaborations with supercomputing centers on hybrid quantum-classical application development across multiple industries.
• Drive research in AI methods for quantum algorithm discovery and optimization.
• Manage technical projects with strategic partners, including QPU developers, researchers, and supercomputing centers.
• Develop innovative solutions that support customer adoption and contribute to business growth;
• Publish high-impact research papers and present findings at scientific, technical, and industry conferences.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to advance quantum computing applications and AI technologies.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in quantum algorithms and quantum computing applications.
• Strong knowledge of the Japanese quantum ecosystem and established industry connections.
• Proven experience leading technical collaborations with industry partners;
• Excellent programming skills in Python, C++, and parallel programming models such as CUDA.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong record of research publications and conference presentations.

Preferred:

• Recognized leadership in quantum computing research and high-performance computing.
• Experience with NVIDIA Quantum technologies, including cuQuantum and CUDA-Q.
• Experience applying AI techniques to quantum algorithm research and development.
