Quantum Error Correction Metrologist

Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Error Correction Metrologist, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute experiments to identify and isolate physical error sources affecting quantum error correction (QEC) systems
• Develop advanced data analysis tools for processing large, high-dimensional quantum datasets
• Collaborate with qubit design teams to reduce error rates and improve system stability;
• Work with theory and modeling teams to co-design experiments with predictive physical models
• Contribute to improving scalable fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Python for data acquisition and analysis;
• At least one scientific publication in recognized journals or conferences

Preferred:

• Experience with control and characterization of quantum devices
• Experience executing quantum error correction experiments;
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conferences
• Experience working with quantum hardware teams and experimental systems

Benefits and Compensation:

• Salary range: $147,000 to $211,000 USD annually
• 15% bonus target plus equity
