Job Title: Quantum Processor Engineering Technicianlocation: Oxford, England, United Kingdom

Responsibilities:
- Support the Quantum Processor Engineering (QPE) team in the fabrication and evaluation of Quantum Processors.
- Prepare and inspect ion-traps for assembly, including cleaning, die bonding, wire-bonding, packaging, and assembly of test chips.
- Conduct experiments on new assemblies and materials to assess performance at cryogenic temperatures;
- Maintain cryogenic vacuum chambers and related controls, performing set test routines for electrical and mechanical device properties.
- Assist with stock management, lab upkeep, and documentation of inspection and test results.
- Collaborate with in-house IC fabrication engineers, evaluation teams, and manufacturing staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a scientific or engineering laboratory environment.
- Strong skills in soldering, specifically 0402 SMD components, and electrical/electronic testing.
- Familiarity with basic electronics and standard electronic hardware evolution;
- Ability to manage multiple evaluation tasks across disciplines with a self-motivated and detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Preferred:
- Experience running basic electrical measurements and visual inspection routines on dies.
- Previous work in cleanrooms or environments requiring electrical and chemical safety.
- Familiarity with CAD, mechanical engineering, vacuum chambers, cryogenic systems, or electronic system maintenance (test rigs).
