Job Description
Job Title: Quantum Software Applications. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY; San Jose, CA; Cambridge, MA; Albany, NY, USA
As an intern, you will collaborate with IBM partners and research teams to design and implement quantum algorithms & applications that solve practical business and scientific problems.
Duties:
- Support the design and development of quantum software solutions tailored to IBM partners.
- Analyze partner requirements and propose relevant quantum algorithms and workflows;
- Use IBM Quantum tools such as Qiskit and IBM Runtime to build and test quantum applications.
- Collaborate with researchers and developers to guide implementation and improve performance.
- Follow software engineering best practices for testing, documentation, and version control;
- Communicate technical findings and assist in refining project objectives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of quantum computing concepts and quantum algorithms.
- Basic experience using Qiskit and software development principles;
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical ideas into practical solutions.
- Familiarity with collaborative coding tools such as git is helpful.

- Salary range (annualized): $78,624 to $144,144, depending on experience and location;
