Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer, CUDA-Q. Location: US, California; US, WA - Remote
You will work at the intersection of quantum computing, high-performance computing and compilers, helping developers program next-generation systems with high efficiency and scalability.
Duties:
- Develop core infrastructure for CUDA Quantum to enable communication and execution across multiple devices.
- Build extensible software components that integrate quantum architecture-specific features;
- Solve complex engineering problems across GPU programming, compilers, HPC, and quantum computing.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering teams on system design and implementation.
- Review and refine software designs with peers to ensure performance and reliability;
- Improve internal tools, workflows, and infrastructure to speed up development cycles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
- Master’s or PhD preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience building large-scale, production-quality software;
- Strong background in GPU programming, parallel systems, and performance profiling.
- Solid understanding of compiler toolchains and multi-processor architectures.
- Ability to learn new technical domains quickly and work across disciplines.
- Clear communication skills and experience working in collaborative teams.
Benefits and Instructions:
- Base salary ranges from $148,000 to $235,750 for Level 3 and $184,000 to $287,500 for Level 4, depending on location and experience.
