Job Title: Principal Quantum Systems Engineer - Applied Research Quantum Computing. Location: CA, Remote , CA, Santa Clara, WA, Redmond

This role leads systems engineering efforts to integrate QPUs into a large-scale fault-tolerant accelerated quantum supercomputer; You will work on complex quantum-classical systems that combine quantum hardware with GPU and CPU computing, helping shape the future of quantum technology across the ecosystem.

Duties:

• Lead systems engineering for the design, integration, and testing of hybrid quantum-classical platforms.
• Define technical requirements for integrating QPUs with classical compute and control infrastructure;
• Develop new approaches for real-time calibration and system-level analysis across different qubit technologies.
• Co-design integration of classical controllers, QPUs, GPUs, and CPUs, including communication requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enable scalable and reliable quantum systems.
• Support system benchmarking, measurement strategies, and performance validation.
• Drive innovation in an environment focused on collaboration, speed, and technical depth.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience in quantum computing, quantum information science, and systems engineering.
• Proven ability to deliver high-impact results in quantum systems design and integration;
• Hands-on experience with multiple qubit technologies and controller systems.

Benefits and Instructions:

• Base salary range: $232,000–$368,000 USD, based on location and experience.
