Solutions Architect - Optimization

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect - Optimization. Location: Milan, Italy (initially remote, then hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Build customer applications using quantum computing systems and internal optimization tools
• Translate business problems into quantum and hybrid optimization solutions
• Communicate with customers to understand requirements and propose solutions
• Lead mathematical modeling and design of optimization-based quantum applications
• Conduct brainstorming sessions and consult on complex business use cases;
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve product features based on customer feedback
• Develop and present technical solutions in a clear and structured way
• Support delivery of production-level applications for real-world use cases

Qualifications:

• Master’s, PhD, or equivalent in Operations Research, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Python development
• Experience working with external customers in consulting or solution design roles
• Experience with optimization tools such as CPLEX or Gurobi;
• Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling and optimization techniques
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Ability to deliver production-grade software solutions

Preferred:

• Strong experience in Python-based optimization and analytics
• Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, NetworkX
• Experience building production applications for complex business problems
• Industry experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail, or Services;
• Strong technical leadership in solution design and implementation
• Proven record of successful project delivery with high quality and predictability
