Job Description

Job Title: Student Researcher, 2026. Location: Singapore. Must be physically located in Singapore for the full duration of the engagement

Responsibilities:

• Participate in research projects focused on solving real-world, large-scale problems
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and science teams across Google
• Contribute to exploratory projects that support scientific advancement;
• Help develop innovative solutions using advanced computer science methods
• Work on research challenges that may support AI systems, optimization, sustainability, and next-generation computing

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or related field
• Experience in at least one computer science area such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Algorithmic Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering
• English proficiency for global collaboration;
• Must have the current right to work in Singapore without requiring visa sponsorship
• Must submit an updated CV or resume and a current unofficial or official transcript in English, preferably in PDF format

Preferred:

• Enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to studies after the internship
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C/C++
• Experience contributing to research communities, including publishing papers in major conferences or journals
